ABOUT NIRIKHYANA

Nirikhyana – A District-Level Maternal Health Initiative

The Nirikhyana Initiative is a district-level maternal health programme developed to ensure comprehensive, timely, and accessible prenatal care for expectant mothers in PURI District. This initiative harnesses technology, community health systems, and partnerships with diagnostic centers to provide free ultrasound services and structured pregnancy tracking, strengthening preventive healthcare and improving outcomes for mothers and newborns. It is designed to overcome geographic, socioeconomic, and service-access barriers that many pregnant women face, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

Through technology, community health workers, and partnerships with diagnostic centers, the initiative ensures free ultrasound services, high-risk pregnancy tracking, and structured pregnancy follow-up.
